Homebirth & Full Service Midwifery Care

These services include care throughout your pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods. During pregnancy we will meet and build a relationship that will enable you to feel safe, healthy and cared for throughout this whole transformative experience. Prenatal care usually occurs every 4 weeks until week 28, twice a week until 36 week and weekly after that. All visits will occur at your home (or other designated location per your request and midwife's ability to accomodate). Anyone and everyone is welcome to these visits as long as you want them to be there.

Throughout your prenatal care and postpartum care, I will be available to you for unlimited phone conversations and/or emails. My goal is for you to feel cared for and for all your questions/concerns to be answered.

During labor and birth, I will be present with a qualified birth assistant. Birth team will stay with you until you and your support team are comfortable for us to leave and you are clinically stable. Postpartum visits will follow and you will have 5 planned visits at your home, unless more are necessary. They will occur at 48-72 hours, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks. During these visits, I will support your feeding journey, assess your recovery and support you to promote optimal recovery and wellness for your physical state and most importantly your mental and emotional state as well.

The midwifery model of care promotes evidence based, compassionate family centered care. I am a firm believer that every birthing family has a right to this type of care. When the body and mind feel safe to accomplish what they physiologically and naturally know to do, they will do so. All we need to do is standby and observe this beautiful process unfold.

As a Midwife, I am trained to care for low risk pregnancies and births. I am also trained to assess, evaluate and recognize when the process is no longer low risk and either collaboration or transfer of care is clinically necessary to keep the birthing family safe.

If this sounds like the care you desire, reach out to me for a free consultation meeting. I look forward to meeting you!
